Twenty-one towns inside a 25 km ring around Sullivan

The ring is drawn from the village. Waukesha and North Lake sit just outside it, at about 25.5 and 25.7 km, so they are not listed. Inside it the ground changes more than the distance does: river valleys on the Rock, Crawfish, Bark and Scuppernong, lakeshore homes in the Lake Country towns, and rural properties on private wells and septic systems in the Kettle Moraine edge.

The one flood record we can point to in the ring is June 2008. The USGS documented severe flooding across southern Wisconsin that month, with the Rock and Crawfish rivers among the worst, and it names Jefferson and Watertown. Other towns in the ring have no flood record on these pages, so none is claimed for them.
